Position: Marketing and Content Strategy Manager
Location: Clermont, Florida
Experience: 5 years of social media marketing (preferred) and 5 years of marketing (required)
Compensation: Dependent on Experience, Range $40,000-$55,000 / 9am to 5pm
Percent of Travel: 0%

About Us: We are a full-service event design company comprised of egoless, creative entrepreneurs. We are headquartered in Orlando, Florida and offer conference and meeting planning services, destination management for conventions, and event design for corporate special events throughout the United States.

Job Description: At Blue Spark, we pride ourselves in staying in contact with our current and future customers through different forms of communication, social media and brand events. Because of this, we are looking someone with the passion to showcase our brand through well-thought out communication vehicles. We are looking for someone who can use marketing strategy to help us cultivate and develop client relationships. Organization, grammar and attention-to-detail is imperative to keep our brand consistent.  

Develop and execute a detailed annual marketing, email, blog and social media plan for the company.
Research and Identify clients in different markets, associations, industries, etc. for viable opportunities to generate leads.
Process new opportunities and send to the sales team in the CRM system.
Review and research content and copy for articles and testimonials.
Actively contribute in brainstorming and idea generation sessions with sales team.
Attend and support selected trade shows, leadership summits and training events as needed.
Understand the event side of our business.

Minimum of five years in marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective time management skills
High level of character and positive attitude
Ability to learn and be proactive with tasks
Adaptable in an entrepreneurial work environment
Work independently in the absence of supervision
Must be able to work under the stress of and meet deadlines
Understand and effectively utilize marketing communications such as Instagram, Facebook, Blogs, LinkedIn, Email blasts, etc.
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Team player; self-directed, consistent and reliable
Demonstrate professionalism and leadership
Basic knowledge of meeting planning functions including, but not limited to hotel sourcing, registration tools, food and beverage management pre-work (menu planning), food and beverage onsite execution, audio visual management, security, rigging, power, etc.
Basic knowledge of event planning functions including, but not limited to transportation, décor, entertainment, production, lighting, off-site events, etc.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Experience with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator (preferred, not required)
Undergraduate degree in business administration, sales or marketing, hospitality (preferred)
