Welcome to Music City! This unique convention destination has a bit of everything for your guests to enjoy including history, great food, professional sports, museums, and of course music. With its recently finished 1.2 million-square foot Music City Center, Nashville is stepping up its game and making way for larger conventions to roll into town.
Located right near the new Music City Center downtown, is Nashville’s famed entertainment district where your guests can watch a game or a concert at the Bridgestone Arena, enjoy a concert at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, explore the Country Music Hall of Fame or just cruise the many music-filled streets and enjoy the sounds of up-and-coming artists at Nashville’s famed honky-tonks.
Nashville offers a few larger convention hotels within its city limits, but the cornerstone property that offers both convention space and sleeping rooms to fit a larger convention is the Gaylord Opryland® Resort and Convention Center. This property boasts five restaurants onsite, numerous and unique shopping outlets and a climate-controlled atrium filled with waterfalls, plants and authentic southern buildings. It is literally a theme park of interactive and unique places to explore all under one roof. In addition to it’s unique setting, this hotel has 2,711 sleeping rooms, 171 suites, 152 meeting rooms, and 600,000 square-feet of total meeting space.
A newer property to the Nashville scene is the Omni Nashville, a 21-story, 800-room hotel with over 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space, which will open in late 2013. Located in the downtown area, it is integrated with the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum on three levels. So your guests may have the opportunity to utilize this space for their convention and never really leave the comfort of their hotel.
In town, there are other fun attractions such as gathering to see a Tennessee Titans game, or head to Opry Mills, a shopping center that offers a wide variety of outlet stores and unique shopping, or take in a concert at the Ryman Auditorium or the Grand Ole Opry where so many country music legends have played in the past.
